Now viewing April, 2012
My sweet little nephew turned 4 this week, and we had a party at the Museum of Transportation to celebrate!
When I was in college I shot nothing but film. I processed and printed all of my own images and developed them in the darkroom. I loved it. I swore I would never (ever) shoot digital. And then I started Lisa Dolan Photo and it seemed like everyone was shooting digital. It made things easier at the time, but I always felt like something was missing. I continued to shoot film for personal projects, but I really wanted to integrate it into my portrait work. After being introduced to the work of Jonathan Canlas I realized that there are people out there that still shoot film, and it is beautiful! I made the decision it was time to start shooting film again. Then I packed up the Subaru and headed to Jonathan’s 3-day Film Is Not Dead workshop. It was amazing. I learned to slow down again, and to find my voice and my vision. I’m so excited to start integrating film into my work again, and can’t wait to see what happens on the road ahead. So for now, enjoy this lovely Engagement session (in Film).
Loving these two little girls in their matching Easter Dresses.
